US Transcription Jobs

Below is a list of 10 audio transcription companies that were offering freelancer transcription jobs at the time of writing. Please check the requirements of each transcription company as the information below may have changed.

1. Way with words Transcription Jobs

Way with Words provide transcription services to a number of countries including the US. You need to do an online and offline assessment. The online assessment contains three parts that includes general language, research and audio. From the testimonials they appear to be a good company to work for and you can choose your hours.

2. Transcription Wave

Transcription Wave asks for you to upload your resume.

3. GMR Transcription

GMR Transcription are looking for transcribers and translators. The application asks you a number of questions and to upload your resume.

4. Eword Solutions

Eword Solutions appear to concentrate on legal and medical transcription jobs. They require that your speed is at least 60wpm and that you are based in the US.

5. Speak Write Transcription Jobs

Speak Write ask for a speed of at least 60wpm and 90% accuracy. For these transcription jobs you must be a US or Canadian resident.

6. Daily Transcription

Daily Transcription are looking for professional and novice transcribers. It appears that you would be working on an on-call, as required basis which may mean that you will not get enough work for a full time career.

7. Transcribe.com Freelancer Jobs

Transcribe.com have both transcriptionist jobs and transcription editor jobs. There is an online assessment for both.

8. Scribie

Scribie divides their audio files into 6 minute slots. You need to go through a certification process and the pay seems to be a bit low from $5 to $20 per audio hour. So considering an audio hour takes around 4 hours to transcribe that would result in $5 per hour for the higher rate.

9. Amazing Transcript Jobs

Amazing transcript offers transcription, translation and typing services. In the application it asks for a rate per hour but doesn’t give any indication of the pay.

10. Vanan Transcription

The Vanan Transcription form to complete appears to be the same as the Amazing Transcript. Not sure if they are the same company or just using the same website template.
